Kitakar began in Kitsilano in 2018, starting in a small room in the back of a salon and growing to our permanent home, a beautiful boutique studio centrally located on West 4th Avenue.
Centrally located in the heart of Kitsilano, Kitakar is just blocks away from the vibrant Granville Island Market and short stroll to the iconic Kits Beach. Enjoy the best of both worlds- our proximity to downtown Vancouver (only a quick drive) and the convenience of Kitsilano’s ample street parking.
Our studio uses top-of-the-line Canadian, Korean, and European products and equipment for all of the services we offer. We’re making moves towards sustainability by using biodegradable and compostable implements whenever possible, and offering non-toxic earth friendly options. We carry a variety of products, including specialized formula tints sourced from the UK and Europe, to create custom blended brow and lash tints that best suit your facial features. We also carry a vast selection of lash products to ensure your lash lift is as individual as you are.
Our brow processes rely heavily on creating a natural look for brows that frame your face. We achieve this by using what is called the ‘golden ratio’ in all of our brow services, mapping your perfect brow. We achieve the golden ratio by taking careful and precise measurements using thread, calipers, and rulers. When it comes to lash or brow services we are sure to keep detailed client files so adjustments can me made if desired for future appointments. We value client feedback and reach out after every visit to ensure your happiness.

We use hospital grade disinfectants, and single-use implements, that are also biodegradable wherever possible. All of your tattooing needs are met using the highest quality individually packaged pre-sterilized needles.
